Having experienced the gamut of media tech roles, from journalism, to P&L and investing, I now spend time harnessing the power of purpose and partnerships to drive impact for society and business.My stewardship role is about supporting communities, partnering a wide range of social agencies and community partners, including Temasek Trust. The work is full of purpose, and exciting because philanthropy is changing. Sure, there will always be a place for check book philanthropy, but I am now working with my team on innovative ways to drive impact (think loan recycling and concessional capital).Leveraging partnerships speak to my other role, and has the aim of engaging government, unions, portfolio companies to enable a thriving Temasek ecosystem. This calls for taking a strategic and long term view of disruptive trends, evolving industry structures and public-private collaboration.
