I always knew I loved technology, which is why I went to school to study it, and watching the ways technology revolutionizes the entire world on a daily basis only reinforces my passion for it. I love software and the way it constantly evolves to accomplish bigger and better things, so as a developer by nature, I'm always keeping up with and learning new and ever-changing languages (though I do have my favorites...here's looking at you C#, Javascript, and Python).But it isn't all software development either; I love working with data. Whether it's writing an epic-length SQL stored procedure, transforming data from one platform into another, creating SSRS reports, or creating dashboards in Power BI to give colleagues easy visualizations on complex data sets, working with data makes me feel right at home.I have a huge obsession with Conversational AI and Chatbots, especially with the amazing set of tools Microsoft has made available on Azure and in their Bot Framework. Even though AI has a long way to go, chatbot technology is currently capable of saving companies hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars a year, and I aim to help them do exactly that.I have an equally huge obsession with cryptocurrency, and more specifically the blockchain technology that makes it possible. I am a huge proponent of decentralization and transparency, and I firmly believe that the blockchain will inevitably revolutionize every industry that jumps in. I am a huge supporter of human rights. I believe strongly in women's rights, LGBT rights, and racial equality, and am actively looking for software projects to advance those causes. Software is used every single day to improve almost every aspect of life, and I believe human rights and equality to be the most noble of causes. I would love to be involved with software projects to promote equality among all people, whether it be commercial or open source, whether it be on a huge team or a couple of small-time programmers working out of a spare bedroom.I love programming, I love data, and I love people, and I love the idea that those three things can build a bridge to bring them together.
