I established a S$170 million fund to enable agencies to experiment with better ways to involve and engage citizens, and to build partnerships with the community, ground-up groups, and stakeholders. I also led a project team to develop a Partnership and Engagement Playbook for the Singapore Public Service

I advised and supported public agencies across the Singapore Government on the planning, design and implementation of public engagements. Topics included social cohesion, race and religion, municipal issues, social inequality and family violence. I was also involved in helping agencies implement national engagements to rethink Singapore's future and social compact with citizens such as the Emerging Stronger Conversations and ForwardSG. To better enable the Government to co-invest in partnerships with stakeholders, I worked with the Ministry of Finance and several other agencies to develop a new partnership funding approach and expand the range of funds available for ground-up community groups. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I led the development of partnerships with the people and private sector to foster social cohesion and address unmet needs within the community. This included the implementation of the SG United movement as well as communication campaigns during and after the pandemic.

I was involved in the development and launch of SGTogether, a movement by the Singapore Government to shift towards an approach to governance that involved improving civic participation, engagement and partnerships with citizens and stakeholders. As part of the movement, I supported several Ministries to implement participatory engagement techniques such as Citizen's Panels and Participatory Design, and developed resources such as an Inclusive Engagement Field Guide. I was also in charge of Singapore's National Anthem and Songs and commissioned a new official recording of the Anthem with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in 2019.

I led research projects, partnerships and programmes to strengthen national identity. I supported a review of National Education and spearheaded the review of a S$10 million fund to enable ground-up community projects nationally.
