Co-founder and Director of Programming at Big Car Collaborative, Marsh is a curator, writer, socialpractice artist and researcher. Her work centers around artist-run spaces, popular culture’s influence on the pursuit of utopia and urban/rural relationships. She has served as the Director of Programs and Exhibitions for Big Car since opening Tube Factoryartspace in March of 2015. Tube Factory is a 12,000-square-foot non collecting, commissioningcontemporary art museum. It also functions as Big Car Collaborative 's studio space. Exhibitions arecurated based on the themes of community, place, memory and mythology. She also runs the regrantingprogram, Power Plant Grants which distributes $60,000 to Indianapolis, IN based visual artists.After Big Car received a 3 million dollar gift from Lilly Endowment to expand and renovate the TubeFactory artspace campus, Marsh was appointed to program a new 46,000 square foot building for a totalof eight exhibition spaces and 18 artist studios set to open in 2025. In addition, she leads the program side of the affordable artist housing program, Artist Public Life Residency (see sidebar) and a short termresidency program that hosts artists and intellectuals from all over the world through partnerships withother institutions and non-profits who need temporary housing.Working with artists who explore identity to bring about social change, she also specializes in rapidresponse exhibitions. She has curated over 70 exhibits the past 20 years with artists including Carlos Rolón, Saya Woolfalk, Wendy Red Star, Elisa Harkins, Jesse Sugarmann, LaShawnda Crowe Storm, Mari Evans, Pablo Helguera, Yvette Mayorga, Scott Hocking, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Toyin Odutola, Tabitha Soren, Juan William Chavez, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Richard Mosse and more.She writes and produces two radio programs on 99.1 WQRT LP Indianapolis. She also creates and helpscoordinate public art projects and events via Big Car's placemaking program, Spark Placemaking. Inaddition, Marsh is a writer for the publication Pattern Magazine.
