Shavashia Grant graduated with her Master's Degree in Hospitality Management Concentration from Johnson & Wales University-College of Online Education in December 2020. As an aspiring CEO of her own Business, she is passionate about diversity within an organization as well creating a solution to a known problem and that is breaking the glass ceiling from an African American Female perspective within an organization. She hopes to be able to translate her passion by becoming that woman who is going to break those barriers and make a change. Shavashia is a three time Johnson & Wales Alum where during her time there she spent majority of her time in different on campus activities some of which includes FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), NSMH (National Society of Minorities in Hospitality), Fraternity & Sorority Council and she is a proud Charter member and Fall 2016 initiate of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.-Delta Phi Chapter where she served as Chapter President, Treasurer, Membership Coordinator and the Undergraduate Representative to the Executive Board for the state of North Carolina. In her role as Undergraduate Representative, she created engagement opportunities to improve diversity and improve the relationship between Undergraduate and Graduate members. Shavashia is now continuing her education and is pursuing a PhD degree in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education with Grand Canyon University-Doctoral Studies.
