From the dark times of the Pandemic lockdown, Shavi has built a world of adventure, skills building and fun, all enabled through the classic game of chess. Teaching young children (ages 4-15) virtually over the past three years has built an amazing community of learners where the kids learn the rules of the game, plus much, much more through adventure games/ memory games/ puzzles and cognitive exercises.Students have learned important life and learning skills such as:• how to focus (observe, concentrate, and then react),• visualize (imagine sequences of actions),• think ahead (think first, act after)• weigh options (explore alternatives and consequences)• think abstractly (use patterns in one context and apply them in another)• planning (develop a longer range play beyond the next move)• juggling multiple options (multi-tasking involved in game strategy)As you can see, chess is not only a fun, life long game but it has so many benefits for kids that will challenge and develop their analytic, their learning and their life skills.
