Responsibility for developing and implementing the company’s procurement strategy and policy with annual spend of £100M.Review of group procurement process, systems and procedures and to recommend best practice for implementation throughout the PD group.Identify supply synergies across the group and deliver cost reductions through supplier negotiation, sourcing initiatives and leverage of group spend.Provision of specialist procurement support and advice to employees regularly involved in procurement activities.Ensure compliance with the EU procurement regulations by project management of the Company’s procurement requirements through OJEU.Responsible for the design and implementation of the purchase to pay process within the delivery of the company’s new ERP system.

Reporting to the Corporate Indirect Purchasing Director - EMEA with responsibility for developing category strategies for MRO, Chemicals, Facilities & Construction and Machinery with a combined annual spend of 110MUSD.Responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of the rolling annual category strategy opportunities pipeline delivering 3MUSD savings, manage key reports to ensure delivery.Manage a Category Management team consisting of 2 sourcing specialists, set objectives, agree personal development plans and ensure alignment with overall category strategy objectives. Ensure engagement and sponsorship with key stakeholders in all sourcing plans and positively and proactively ensure that the outcome of the category strategy process meets their business requirements.Maintain and strengthen close working relationships with the Global Strategy Category Leaders.Draft and advice on contracts and business terms and conditions to ensure necessary contractual arrangement and service level agreements are successfully constructed. Monitor the performance of agreements and proactively take action to ensure all parties meet expectations to the contracts. Adoption of ‘Best in Class’ procurement processes, practices, methodologies and tools including Six Sigma and Ariba spend analysis, esourcing and contract management.

Reporting to the Finance Director and responsible for developing and leading the company’s procurement strategy; procuring capital, project, MRO and indirect equipment, goods and services to a value of £40M pa and establishing a procurement team of 9 professionals. Responsible for developing and maintaining best practice procurement policies, processes and procedures and for driving continual improvement in all aspects of the procurement process.Manage and facilitate all facets of supply management activities for company wide procurement (operations, projects, engineering and corporate procurement).Develop and implement sourcing strategies to include spend analysis, market, economic and geographic considerations in support of corporate objectives.Manage supply contracts ensuring optimization of supply-chain (within Procurement strategy) including key supplier agreements, frame agreements and other beneficial support agreements.Introduction and development of a supplier approval programme and vendor assurance (pre-qualification, auditing & supplier performance evaluation). Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement and optimizing supplier performanceSystem definition and roll-out of new procurement system to include training of personnel.Determine optimal staffing and skills base, building a strong procurement team and systems.Management of the company’s logistics function including stores, transport, port agency & inventory management.Property and Facilities Management including negotiation of leases & rent reviews, budget management, property maintenance & repair, negotiation of facilities contracts.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and responsible for managing a team of 3 project senior buyers, 1 project buyer, 2 indirect buyers and 2 administrators, purchasing a range of goods and services to a value of £30M pa for both internal and external clients.Overall accountability for establishing section objectives and procurement strategy in line with business objectives to deliver business strategy.Responsible for developing project procurement strategies on projects ranging from £500K to £20M project value in supply sectors including civil/building, engineering equipment, construction site services, control and electrical engineering and machines.Take a leading role in negotiation, reviewing and awarding project and indirect contracts.Direct and manage formal bid activities.Develop and implement direct and indirect supply side strategies to deliver cost saving benefits averaging £500k per annum.Develop and manage the approved suppliers list for both indirect and project commodities to ensure the avialibilty of technical, safety, financial and quality resources necessary to deliver competitive advantage to the business.Management of the business’s facilities function.

Reporting to the group Purchasing Manager.Responsible for the development of the Eutech supply base to meet the business needs and to reduce the total cost of acquisition.Management of the indirect purchasing team with a spend of £20m pa, buying indirect commodities including catering, cleaning, security, stationary/printing, office equipment, office services, car hire, travel, telecoms, consultants, temporary workers, IT equipment & services, company cars.Maintain sound market knowledge of all major indirect commodities to ensure that the company cost structure is protected by securing competitive advantageous terms.Management of the accounts payable team.

Reporting to the Engineering Services Buying Manager.Responsible for the definition and implementation of supply sector strategies to achieve long term supply and added value.Supply side management ensuring that supplier performance was commensurate with business requirements and supply maintenance of critical services. Managed an engineering purchasing portfolio with £25m pa value including plant shutdowns, water treatment, H&V and specialist engineering service providers.
