During my time as a cadet, I gained almost 14 months sea time, all of which was spent on-board the S.S. Arctic Voyager. This vessel, a 140,000 cubic meter MOSS Rosenberg LNG carrier is one of the best vessels in the K Line fleet, repeatedly winning the company award for best ship during my time on-board.Working on-board the Arctic Voyager taught me a great deal due to the excellent selection of officers, along with their work ethic and has greatly influenced my deportment and the way in which I will conduct myself as an Officer of the Watch. I was granted a number of responsibilities on-board and undertook a variety of jobs ranging from deck work to passage planning, constructing cargo & ballast plans for the Chief Officer and maintaining LSA & FFE. In addition, I understudied all of the officers on board and was allowed to conduct full navigational watches under supervision.During my time as a cadet I have gained all the various skills and knowledge to be an Officer. At this stage I have sat all of my exams aside from my final MCA oral exam which I will sit in December.

I am currently training to complete the HNC Nautical Science course as part of the MNTB Deck Officer Trainee program.Upon completion of this training program I will be in possession of a Deck Officer’s Certificate of Competency (STCW’95 II/I OOW).

My first six months at Interspan were spent working on various sites around Scotland as a Post Tensioning Operative. Here I learnt how to properly install a mono-strand bonded floor slab system. I am CARES qualified and certified to work on all aspects of a PT site. After my training on site I relocated to London to work in the head office. In my role I worked directly with the Owner and the General Manager of the firm, working to assist the latter. In my time at Interspan I gained responsibility for all material procurement and business development along with operational and administrative activities.Below are a handful of the buildings I worked on during my time at Interspan.
