My role primarily involves investigating foreign bodies in foods, beverages and pharmaceuticals, for complaints and factory finds, in addition to other imaging analyses, novel food research, and sub-visible particle analyses. I also have roles training and mentoring junior staff, reviewing reports and method development.

My role primarily involved investigating foreign bodies both for complaints and factory issues, using a range of techniques including optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), FTIR spectroscopy and EDX microanalysis, and producing corresponding reports for external and internal clients. Additionally, my further roles included more complex projects such as analyses and reporting of investigative projects, updating and authoring UKAS-accredited methods, and new workstream development.
