I have been amazed and driven by the power of partnering together to advance God's kingdom. I've learned firsthand that we can accomplish exponentially more together than we can on our own. As someone who's worked in local church ministry for 11 years, I'm passionate about helping pastors in the difficulties of ministry. After all, it's not for nothing that Forbes rated pastoral leadership as the fifth most stressful industry in the United States. Getting to help churches and offer a listening ear to pastors is the tangible fulfillment of God's calling on my life and I look forward to the new opportunities He brings. As a Relief Coordinator, I oversee a volunteer pool of 300+ DR credentialed men and women. I coordinate the vetting and training process to ensure our volunteers have the proper training and credentials to serve in emergency situations. Our volunteers are trained to work alongside 42 SBC Disaster Relief entities around the country and international efforts through SEND Relief. Each group of volunteers has credentials to work alongside government entities and NGOs such as emergency service coordinators, FEMA, Salvation Army, American Red Cross, and more. I also manage equipment purchases, maintenance, and utilization. I deploy teams of 6 to 8 volunteers to provide relief for those impacted by floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other natural and man-made disasters. It's a lot of fun. Show less
