Serve to bridge the gap between client and product to insure smooth transition during implementation/start-up.

In this role, I have led a 150-member operations team, including regional managers, warehouse, logistics, customer service, purchasing, business development, and food safety for this warehousing and distribution company serving customers in the food processing, medical, and technology industries throughout the US and Canada. I have served as a primary contact to major clients, support the sales team, and develop key performance metrics to evaluate service, quality, safety, cost, and productivity.Some key accomplishments are:  Facilitating rapid growth by acquiring assets including forklifts, trucks, tractors, trailers, racking, warehouse and office equipment while executing 20+ leases, renewals, and configuration improvements. Achieving continuous cost reductions by conducting regular P&L analysis and market research to identify business trends. Successfully negotiating contracts for additional products and services with new and existing customers. Leading the implementation of third-party certifications (AIB & BRC) within 90% of company locations with AA rating. Supporting continuous, rapid growth from $6M to $250M+ in six years by transforming the operational infrastructure, acquiring 180+ professionals, and expanding to 22 new warehouse locations throughout North America ranging in size from 10K to 180K+ square feet.

In this position, I led all regulatory audits, FDA inspections, and food safety compliance initiatives for the site while managing a $1.5M labor account and operations budget and a $5M energy/utility budget. I oversaw performance management, scheduling, and task delegation for 60+ direct reports, including hourly, specialists, skilled labor, administrators, and union/non-union managers. Some highlights are:  Reducing downtime from 2.3% to 1.1% by piloting new Lean projects to drive continuous process improvements within multiple departments as a Certified Continuous Improvement Master Trainer to departmental managers. Being nationally recognized for leading YoY site energy and utilities cost reductions of more than 5% and was named Traveling Starfleet Captain for achieving the best regional improvement results.

In this position, I developed technical staff and led all capital projects from proposal to implementation. This included training new managers and optimizing key metrics for all operations at one of the largest snack food plants in the world. Some achievements are:  Successfully managing an experimental voice picking project, a pilot initiative within the company. Increasing process efficiencies by coaching and mentoring multiple teams on company business planning processes (BPPs) and continuous improvements. Leading an autonomous maintenance pilot for robotic palletizing, which included preventive maintenance to reduce overall downtime.

In this role, I led a team of 35 to support departmental performance while managing approximately 45 capital projects of up to $250K. I spearheaded the implementation of auto case erectors, a sitewide communication system, and other process improvements.A key achievement is:  Improving warehouse management and reducing workforce by 20 FTEs by developing a robotic inventory sorting system, the first of its kind for PepsiCo.
