As search lead, board liaison, and partner to the executive search organization and outside counsel, I kept the search process moving steadily forward and drama-free to complete the process within the goal of 6 months. Established a labor relations strategy that reversed a legacy contract filled with management rights issues, excessive labor and benefit costs, and significant operations inefficiencies. Negotiations strengthened management rights, shifted noneconomic bargaining priorities, and yielded remarkable bottom-line savings.Transitioned from employee satisfaction surveys to employee engagement surveys to better understand employee discretionary efforts and improve business outcomes. Subsequent favorability scores outperformed benchmarks and led to fewer action items; in 2021, Associated was certified as a Great Place to Work based on high scores of its workforce.Implemented the CEO's vision for a new labor and benefits budget process that shifted the mindset of organizational leaders to a holistic approach, resulting in actuals that were under budget by millions in the first few years.Achieved board approval for a million-dollar HR technology investment and accelerated implementation during the pandemic on a compressed timeline, within budget, and with no major issues or disruptions. Designed and executed a change management model consisting of all aspects of the employee life cycle (onboarding, assimilation, compensation) that retained all employees involved in the acquisition of a power plant.

During 18 years with Bausch + Lomb (1992-2010), I navigated challenging managerial and leadership roles in each core business area and across all product lines within Operations, Commercial, and Corporate. Undaunted by tenuous situations requiring urgent actions and results, I became known for my ability to rein in and resolve volatile situations involving employee relations, labor relations, regulatory compliance, and union negotiations. In addition, I played a pivotal role in smoothing the rippling effects of the company's acquisition by Warburg Pincus and a new administration as the company transitioned from an NYSE public company to the private sector. As Corporate Director, Global Employee Relations, Diversity & Compliance, reporting to SVP, Diversity and Chief General Counsel, I developed employee relations and employee engagement initiatives in support of a global HR transformation and counseled 10 HR leaders on achieving regulatory compliance and diversity.

I launched an executive leadership onboarding plan that accelerated new-hire assimilation, designed a training workshop that increased performance to goal by double digits, facilitated senior-level discussions instrumental to retaining key talent, led the executive talent management process, and piloted an employee engagement survey that resulted in a $250K investment in implementing a company-wide survey.
