Responsible for all finance and control for 16 companies with revenues exceeding $1.5 billion supplying electrical building wire, steel products, fasteners, fittings, safety products for construction, industrial, food preparation, automotive, and aerospace markets with global operations. Consistently develop financial tools for driving continuous cost improvements and profitable growth while maintaining internal controls.

P&L leader for 3rd largest electrical building wire company in the United States with four manufacturing locations. • Focused and redefined growth strategy around key customers and end users resulting in being awarded over $30 million in new data center jobs which included the largest data center in the United States. • Created new product development team, voice of customer training, stage gate development, and prioritized opportunities to begin transiting company from commodities to differentiated solutions. • Further implemented lean manufacturing, GEMBA, and automation resulting in restructuring savings of $4 million per year while increasing the amount of wire produced. • Maintained an accident free workplace with zero recordable incidents with each plant setting new safety records.

Report to President / General Manager and Sector CFO. Oversaw accounting, accounts payable, IT, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, SOX compliance, and the tax and audit activities of the organization. Oversaw financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensure timely financial and statistical reports for senior management and/or board use. Certify Sarbanes Oxley compliance for IT & financials. Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance. • From 2006 to 2009, demand declined by more than 50%. Continual analysis of manufacturing costs and market demand led to several restructuring efforts during the recession that allowed the company to reduce factory hours and costs in lock step with reduced demand. • Implemented RF Shipping Verification System improving shipping accuracy and meeting the EDI requirements for Lowes, Home Depot, and Menards. • Analysis of working capital and negotiations with vendors led to improving Trade Payable Outstanding by 12 days which improved cash flow by 6.7 million dollars.
