Now managing G & G Farm established in 1918 and celebrating its 100th year in operation under the Gingras family name. Our farm specializes in producing high quality hay and wheat straw for our various customers. Owned and operated by my uncle Gerald Gingras who everyone knows as “Bob”, I have had the distinct pleasure to have been mentored by him since I was young. Over the past 25 years, I have remained committed to assisting him whenever I had time off in order to someday come back north, live within proximity of the family farm. Now I get to love out my dream by working full-time as the manager. But before this I had the pleasure of working in the public service under various roles such as over 20 years of Law enforcement experience ranging from military policing and to working at Pearson International Airport as a Border Services officer for 6 years with Canada Border Service Agency. Then worked as a Settlement officer with the Department of Citizenship and Immigration managing Contribution Agreements in northern Ontario with organizations providing settlement services for newcomers to Canada. After an abrupt decision by our government to shut down all northern offices I was forced to make a decision and left the public service for a new exciting opportunity in sales.I worked as a Sales Consultant for a Honda dealership which was very rewarding. But ultimately farming is in my blood and I will look forward to many years in the agriculture business and growing our farm.
