Primarily developing backend data pipelines of the MapKit Web platform using PostgreSQL 10 with PostGIS for spatial analysis/transformation with Python 3. Developed pipeline methods to do delta loads and database version release mechanisms as part of the overall release process. Performed database release enhancements to optimize data backend core performance. Also created a RESTful interface for pipeline operability (Pipeline Genie) that allows control and execution of data backend via RESTful design, augmenting the existing core pipeline functionality. Created an algorithm that performs de-confliction of vector tiled aviation maps to de-clutter busy areas on a web map. Currently re-factoring the backend pipeline to utilize a micro-service distributed approach that will add resiliency to data operations and further the ability to control all facets of the pipeline at both the macro and micro levels.Augmenting the UI team, developing new features and data layers in Angular 8. Lead spatial developer in charge of developing and maintaining backend service platforms and data warehouses. Developed ETL techniques and software wrappers to load enterprise wide plant information on a nightly basis while maintaining downstream data pipelines for WMS image rendering, GIS API's, and data export services. Using a combination of Java, FME, Oracle Spatial, GeoServer and MapProxy resulted in a highly available web platform for online cable plant analysis and highly performant services for WMS imagery/query purposes.
