Shawn Sweeney received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder in May 2017. He began his career developing electrical and lighting design drawings and models as an intern for the lighting group at Stantec Design. After grad school, Shawn joined the MB BIM Solutions team as a BIM Engineer. In this role, he worked closely with General Contractors and trade partners across the Denver Front Range to provide efficient BIM solutions to their design and constructability challenges. As a BIM Engineer, his work mainly focused on developing concrete lift drawings, producing rebar shop drawings, and managing models and clashes for MEP Navisworks coordination. Since 2021, Shawn has worked as a BIM Project Manager for MB BIM where his responsibilities have included running BIM coordination for renovation, education, and institutional projects, developing reality capture services, and completing design model constructability reviews.
