It is an On-Exchange Online Direct Enrollment project which involved developing an application where this system and workflow will enable consumers (end-users), market point agents and tele-sales agents to complete On Exchange Individual and family plans enrollment. The application consisted of two forms for the users to fill by logging on to the website and filling personal information based on which either the user will be eligible or not. If eligible then a suitable insurance plan will be provided, and the user can then finally choose the appropriate plan from the options provide.Responsibilities:● Developed RESTful Web services using Spring REST.● Implemented Spring Security for single page sign-on authentication and multiple role authorization in a multi-product insurance management application.● Applied Spring Boot to ease configuration issues and avoid conflicting versions of libraries.● Designed REST APIs supporting JSON that allow sophisticated, effective and low-cost application integration.● Developed Spring MVC framework extensively with Inversion of Control and Dependency Injection (DI).● Created connections to database using Hibernate Session Factory using Hibernate APIs to retrieve and store data to the database with Hibernate transaction control.● Developed RESTful Web Services using annotations in Spring RESTController to derive suitable actions using HTTP (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and map those URL actions to view data on the Angular14 in the front end.● Used tools like DEV Tools and Actuator that are a part of Spring Boot to speed application development as well as monitor the application when pushed to production.● Used MySQL as the ORM database for carrying out various database operations.● Deployed Microservices using Spring Cloud and Docker to simplify development on all platforms.
