As part of my Venue Management class at Bay State College, our class professor assigned us to take over our college venue (The SPOT), which is a venue space with a capacity of 80 people. As a class we would "take over" The SPOT on April 16th 2015 and hold an event that our class produced ourselves. I worked alongside two other classmates in the Talent group which was tasked with handling talent buying, talent needs and also the event budget. The most challenging part of the assignment was to produce an event that would standout to the students at Bay State as well as patrons with no involvement with the school. Considering The SPOT typically holds music event, we wanted to create a game night to standout and be able to break the conventional mold of holding music performances at The SPOT. We ended up surpassing our breakeven and were able to make a profit, which we chose as a class to donate to The SPOT.

Throughout an Event Management class at Bay State College my peers and I produced a one night concert in it's entirety. I was part of the Marketing team from the months of September until the day of the show, this involved managing street team schedules, making sure the words of the show spread around Boston and doing anything we could to market the event as effectively as possible. On the day of the show, December 2nd 2014, we found ourselves in the Brighton Music Hall, and myself and three others were Production Managers. We set the stage for the night by making sure all the wiring was set up for anything we could have expected. With help from a production manager who works for Brighton Music Hall, we were able to put the concert on with minimal difficulties.
