Simple Online Doctor Appointments. VeraDoc is a white-label appointment and patient engagement platform for medical, dental and veterinary organizations that integrates seamlessly with backend systems to provide confirmed appointments.

Picture the world before HTML5 and before smartphone dominance. It was closed, constrained and not consumer-friendly. Now build a platform that could take HTML, CSS and JS, compile it on the server and send it down to a 128kb virtual machine running on the cheapest feature phone. That's what we did, and it was a thing to behold. It was basically a robust app engine without the weight. Every major carrier in North America and several around the world used it in some capacity, reaching ~100mm consumers. I love the mobile industry.Sold to Good Technology.

Moviso was the largest ringtone company in North America. We were the exclusive platform for every major carrier, reaching ~150mm consumers. We estimated that if you bought a ringtone in 2003, there was a 70% chance it came through our platform. Ringtones were the first massively successful consumer product for the mobile platform, and Moviso pioneered the business. I still have a monophonic Mission Impossible ringtone on my smartphone to be ironic. Sold to InfoSpace.

MP3.com was a great company with a great CEO and full of great people. The only problem was the $250mm copyright infringement lawsuit brought by the record labels that most people don't understand. Ask me about it. I was the product manager for the my.mp3.com service that got us sued.

Yep, 4 months. I have a funny story about that. Otherwise, I was then, and am still, an exceptional project manager. I think it's the way my brain works. I like to make things happen on time and on budget.

I felt like doing this job consulting to small and medium-sized businesses was really helpful for our clients. I respect all entrepreneurs more because of this job.
