Manages the library’s Integrated Library System (ILS), in collaboration with PALNI consortium. Serves as first contact for technical problems, concerns, or requests, interfacing with external partners and vendors for the IR and the ILS (currently bepress/Digital Commons and WMS).Detailed responsibilities include:• Upload videos & content under the direction of IR administrators. • Coordinate quality control efforts in the IR.• Maintain currency of active collections through communication with other departments.• Oversee acquisition of content from campus events. • Implement and manage tracker for collections’ status and acquisition timeline. • Lead communication efforts related to soliciting student scholarship.• Manage digitization efforts by supervising and training student employees and coordinating the digitization workflow for historical items.• Supervise the library’s social media student employee posting relevant content.• Implement SEO and metadata measures for collections.• Manage software/platform for Bookeye scanner and metadata creation. • Provide technical expertise and insight and promote digital fluency.• Maintain awareness and develop in-depth knowledge of new technology, relevant national standards, and best practices related to digitization and online scholarship.• Serve as ILS configuration liaison with PALNI consortium. • Provide 1st tier support for library technology; troubleshooting & configuration; collaborating with IT.• Manage library-owned software and hardware.• Serve as primary contact for digital signage; creating and managing content.
