Administrative assistant type of work including answering phones, keeping inventory, assist faculty and staff with office needs, etc.

Cared for infants-school aged children. I provided them with food, comfort, fun, and care. I would assist the teacher in her lesson plans and other various duties. During my time at Mini U, I was able to lead my own class and unit on native american culture. I also was trained in CPR, airborne and bloodborne pathogens, child advocacy, and much more.

Checked a variety of Fume hoods on campus, filed and maintained MSDS data sheets, helped regulate radiation survey materials (Geiger Counters), assisted with the collection of hazardous waste materials, participated in a building safety meeting about asbestos within a new construction site, maintained data in excel files, and performed clerical duties such as answering the phone and emails regularly.

Assisted in facilitating education to kindergarten students utilizing scientifically based methods that align with the common core standards. I also created lessons that targeted environmental issues such as: water pollution, environmental ethics, differentiation between birds, mammals, and reptiles, plant life-cycle, butterfly life-cycle, etc that also align with Ohio Science Standards. For these lessons, I utilized discovery based learning techniques as much as possible. I also led small guided reading groups for advanced readers and differentiated my practices to meet the needs of all the students. I gained much experience in time management, classroom management skills, communication skills, and teamwork.

Have to manage various events and make sure things run very smoothly. Have to direct other students in the set up process and assume responsibility for everything that goes on during a catered event. I will directly talk and discuss issues/ideas with the directors of certain events to ensure that each guest/customer is satisfied with the service.
