Cyber Future Foundation is the umbrella organization which serves as the grant making and operational body for the following not for profit organizations:• Cyber Defense Alliance • Cyber Peace Initiative • Cyber Trust Institute Created with the collective initial contribution of the founding trustees, the foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, with its own board. The trustees set policy and delegate authority to the Chairman and senior staff for the foundation’s grant making and operations. Program officers in the various corners of the world formulate strategies and recommend proposals for funding.The Cyber Defense Alliance is an international, independent consortium of leaders engaged in the profession and practice of commercial cyber security. Its mission is to build and promote a global commercial cyber security ecosystem, and to establish guidance and best practices in an increasingly digital world. The Cyber Peace Initiative serves as a global, independent think tank and research center. Among the primary objectives is to aid in the process of averting cyber war and associated cyber espionage, leading to distrust and discord. To achieve this mission, it pursues a broad range of activities including policy research, development of thought leadership material, convening summits on a global level and promoting a concept and framework for cyber peace.The Cyber Trust Institute's mission is to support research and development of both theoretical sciences and industrial applications on a commercial scale. Its aim is to connect diverse bodies of knowledge in the fragmented world of cyber security, by creating a centralized body of research through collaboration and partnership with academic and research institutes in the cyber domain, creating standard benchmarks for cyber security knowledge (involving people, processes and platforms), which may then be applied in the market on a scale fit for commercial adoption.

The North Texas Cyber Forensics Lab is a brand new laboratory being built by the University of North Texas at the new Frisco campus. Dr. Scott Belshaw, Dep't of Criminal Justice, College of Public Affairs and Community Service, is directing this program. This will be a teaching lab which will initially be specializing in mobile cyber forensics.

As a Member of the SMU Cyber Advisory Council, I collaborate with thought leaders and experts in cybersecurity to assist SMU in the development of curriculum and programming. Advisors share news, industry trends and forecasts to inform the development of initiatives, special events and learning opportunities for cybersecurity professionals and students.

I help businesses protect their information and protect them from their information. I represent clients across the United States in dealing with cybersecurity, data privacy, computer fraud, information law, and litigation related legal issues. I frequently assist clients with privacy incident and data breach responses, both as cyber insurance panel counsel and individually. For proactive companies, my ideal role is to serve as a member of their team as outside cybersecurity counsel to help them proactively prepare for and minimize its risks of doing business in today’s cyber risk-laden business world. Then, if a problem does arise, I am there to help resolve those issues as well.

I previously served as Chair of the Civil Litigation & Appellate Law Section of the Collin County Bar Association.
