Navy Special OperationsUs Navy Mar 2010 - May 2024San Diego, California, United StatesAs a SEAL, I was trained to be a member of a highly effective team and conduct special operations all over the world. During this time, I led teams of special operators throughout training and three deployments to Iraq. I directed, developed, and instructed curriculum for 400+ Iraqi special operators (ISOF). This involved assessing their current skills, creating training plans and training my team, directing training for ISOF, and integrating their new skill sets with ours. I spent 3 years leading a high risk training cell that trained and qualified all four west coast SEAL Teams in maritime operations. During this time I was in charge of coordinating timelines, movements, and support assets across 10 different commands.Special Warfare Operators (SEAL) perform a multitude of duties in support of special operations missions and operate on, under and from the sea, in the air and on land. These duties require skills in combat diving, paradrop and air operations, small boat operations, submarine and submersible operations, land warfare, small unit tactics, mounted and dismounted operations, small arms and crew served weapons, explosives, communications, tactical medicine, mission planning, intelligence gathering and interpretation, joint and combined operations, and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear defense measures in all environments including urban, desert, jungle, arctic, and mountain warfare. -

They complete seafloor excavation, hydrographic surveys, object search and recovery, and engineering reconnaissance support to amphibious operations.SeaBee UCTs participate in research and development of new diving techniques/procedures, and are hyperbaric chamber operators and supervisors inside tenders. Projects may include piers, piles, wharves, quay walls, causeways, bridges, boat ramps, moored systems, pipelines, cables, ranges, and magnetic silencing facilities. -

I worked on CAT & CUMMINGS Engines and maintained the parts and components of HMMWV’s and MTVR’s. I also operated small vessels as a small boat coxswain and supported the Units high risk training and operations as a Search and Rescue Swimmer.The duties performed by CMs include diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures and repairing and maintaining diesel and gasoline engines. They adjust and repair ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic and steering systems, as well as, maintain and repair chassis, frames and bodies.CMs work with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring instruments, gauges and meters, and lubricating equipment. They maintain and repair tires, batteries, brake systems, and valves. Perform shop management functions such as maintenance scheduling and spare parts inventory control. They make estimates of material, labor, and equipment requirements. -
