Lead Software EngineerLockheed-Martin Aug 2001 - Aug 2005Bethesda, Md, UsProject: FBI UFB/MIR Development responsibilities centered around Oracle 9i technologies, mainly the Forms and Reports applications. This application was written for the FBI so that it could correctly bill its customers for submitting electronic fingerprint and background checks. The MIR (Management Information Reporting) application was developed to allow the FBI to know what types, quantity and frequency of transactions were passing through their system. It consisted of over 100 reports that tracked every aspect of the system. Both UFB and MIR utilized a Data Warehousing paradigm and extensive ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) methodology to warehouse the data driving the reports.Project: FBI Fingerprint Uniqueness StudyDevelopment duties included creating RFES (Remote Fingerprint Editing Software) that allowed users to capture, characterize, and remotely submit fingerprint searches to the FBI AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System). RFES was upgraded to be able to utilize emergent technologies in the arena of fingerprint characterization that were not used by any other editing system. Along with these modifications, a new fingerprint matcher was developed (the BFM - Best Fit Matcher) to take advantage of this newly captured data. Frequent travel to Quantico, Virginia was required to train the FBI’s Latent Print Unit on the use of the new software.Other projects at LMCO included the F.D.L.E. Integrated Criminal History System (ICHS) and the Pakistan AFIS projects. -
