"Water Nerd" and Environmentalist. I've had a diverse project load relating to civil/environmental engineering including large water/sewer infrastructure design, surface water quality modeling, air pollution, the fate and transport of contaminants, and ecotoxicology. As a science-minded engineer, I look for opportunities that will allow me to continue to have an impact in solving complex environmental problems.One of my many passions is infrastructure that utilizes natural processes to improve the environment. The health of our environment significantly impacts the health of human populations, something that is often not fully appreciated. Pollution on land, in water, and in air affects not just the physical health of individuals, but also the economic and psychological health of society. Through an enhanced understanding of subjects such as chemistry, hydrology, the utilization of natural processes, and the circumstances of our most underserved (purposely ignored) communities I want to develop new methods for enhancing environmental conditions and public health.
