He is responsible for dispensing and compound prescriptions for patients, maintain accurate records, and counsel patients on the proper use of their medications. The pharmacist interacts with physicians and insurance providers to provide the most appropriate care for the patient including clarifying prescriptions in terms of quantity, strength, and direction and addresses any billing/reimbursement issues. As the VP of Strategic Scientific Services, Shawn is responsible for the strategic and scientific direction of marketing communication efforts managed by Synchrony Healthcare Communications, Inc. This includes working with internal leadership and clients to develop and support brand strategy; strategic planning, design, and execution of marketing communications and medical education initiatives, and active participation in new business efforts.

As the VP of Strategic and Scientific Services, Shawn is responsible for leading the strategic/scientific direction of all Client/Account Services activities and services managed by Synchrony Medical Communications, LLC. This will include the development and support of strategies to grow revenue, leading internal cross-functional teams and clients in strategy, strategic planning, and design and execution of medical communications and medical education initiatives, and oversee the Account Services and Project Management departments in the execution of medical communications plans, publications, and medical education campaigns and initiatives.

As the Senior Director of Strategic and Scientific Development, Shawn is responsible for the development and management of the overall strategic direction for client projects. He is responsible for leading internal and client cross-functional teams in evaluating the current therapeutic and competitive landscapes, development of strategic communication planning, and design of an integrated tactical plans. The Senior Director of Strategic and Scientific Development manages the Strategic Services department which is responsible for account management, client services, business development across all current and future clients.

In his role as Scientific Director, he was responsible for oversight of the strategic and scientific accuracy of projects including medical training, primary and review publications, posters, and medical education.

As a medical director, Shawn was responsible for the technical accuracy, relevance, and audience appropriateness of all deliverable which included abstracts/posters, primary and review publications, medical slide content, and promotional materials. He was also involved in the scientific development of RFPs and capabilities presentations.

Dr Boyle served for 4 years as an Instructor of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy Administration at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, where he provided clinical services, drug information, and education to patients, as well as educational instruction to students in a range of healthcare degree programs

As the Professional Practice Associate, Shawn developed educational content for both state and regional meetings, lead volunteer-based planning committees, and executed 11 biannual state-wide meetings in and around the State of Pennsylvania. He was the lead contact for the societies ACPE accreditation for educational programming in pharmacy and has experience in CME/CPE certification, re-accreditation, and current regulatory standards. He also developed , maintained, and served as the PSHP Webmaster for the PSHP Website.
