As I grow older and experience more in the life and my career, I find myself reflecting back on the journey frequently. One of the most salient memories I have is when I took an education course that pertained to adult education in theory and practice. At that point I had no idea that it was largely a prelude to what my life was to become, and as usual I had no idea as to the ramifications of what I was exposed to. The biggest topic addressed was the change from the paradigm at the time that one went to school for a period, graduated, learned a trade or started a profession, and that was that. Mission accomplished. The change was focused on the fact that technology was progressing at such a pace, that it required adults to become "life-long-learners". I thought to myself,"This seems reasonable, but what does it mean," being a life-long-learner? Upon reflection I have found that, to me at least, it means stagnation is not an option personally. This, I have found, is not some attribute of personal greatness, it is simply an innate curiosity that has been a guiding force in my life.Today I have found what I deem to be the job with the perfect blend of both learning new technologies, and sharing experience with others. That is the sweet spot for me.
