Formative (the Newsela product) is impacting the way hundreds of thousands of educators across every subject, grade level, and/or environment reach and support millions of students worldwide. Education is an industry that desperately needs abundant innovation, and Formative has the ingenuity, drive, and team to deliver it.As the first marketing hire for Formative, my primary goal was to lay the foundation that would enable the company to launch new forms of outbound/inbound outreach that introduced marketing automation, digital content marketing, and ABM strategies to reach new customers.I've built that foundation, assisted in growing a stellar, future-focused, team of marketing experts, and working alongside our other revenue teams, launched a multitude of high-impact, customer-centric, high-conversion campaigns that have driven record-breaking user sign-ups to the platform and filled our new business pipeline every quarter.I was the key negotiator and implementation specialist in building our marketing tech stack and locked in multi-year contracts saving the company more than $2 million in fixed software costs for our growing team, while simultaneously unlocking our team's full potential through the power of fully integrated marketing automation tools.I've had a hand in the development of our ever-maturing brand identity, the multiple websites that power our new business opportunities, our community, our training center and more.
