I initiated the development and launched the first few LLM applications for our products, tech-leading a growing virtual team. One project we worked on created a functional assistant diagram in GoLang using LLMs to solve complex query routing and task decomposition challenges. I made key engineering and strategic decisions, guiding the project to successful integration into the broader system architecture.Another project I contributed to was demoed in the Apple Intelligence section at WWDC 2024 - Bringing personal context to Siri, finding and understanding things it could never before!

As a founding engineer of a new utterance understanding component, I was involved in all aspects of the machine learning system. I architected and developed deep learning models in TensorFlow, and led the migration from a legacy system. I developed a distributed data pipeline to handle large-scale data for sampling and training data augmentation, ensuring quality evaluation for a multilingual global product. During my tenure, the team expanded from 2 to over 20 engineers. Our product serves various Apple applications, including Siri, Safari, Spotlight, and more, handling information-seeking queries worldwide.
