About Shawn Brown
I graduated from Tech Elevator, a software development boot camp. My background is more hands on, I was in the United States Marine Corps and participated in The Ohio State Marching Band. I have led a lot of people in these positions and learned to empathize and find and utilize their strengths to better the group. After 4 years in the military, it was time to move on. I began experimenting in college and decided to pick up an old skill of playing the drums and that took me to Ohio State. I participated in the marching band there for 4 years as well. The college structure wasn't for me. My friend brought me to Tech Elevator and I found that that learning structure was where I excelled. My biggest priority is finding a place that can take my strengths and utilize them and value my input and ideas. I want to be an employee that's valued and has legitimate input in projects. I want to soak up any information I can and share it to the best of my ability along the way.

Regularly tracked vehicles and trained other Marines to be better drivers. While deployed to Afghanistan, I trained some units in the Afghan National Army to drive their vehicles as well. After returning from overseas, I had a more concrete role in training Marines from all around our base to drive and properly use the vehicles at our disposal.
