I firmly believe that each of us, no matter their profession, can have a positive impact on the environment. I, as an architect, strive to improve the built environment. Lucky for me, buildings have a huge impact on the environment from construction (embodied carbon) to operations (operational carbon). During my university studies in architecture, I realized that there should be a better way of designing a building that is in harmony with Nature rather than simply an aesthetically beautiful (subjective) sculptural piece indifferent to its setting. This led me to study sustainable design at a specialized institute prior to my Masters in architecture. My Master thesis project was an eco-village (with passive and active energy systems) in a former sand quarry.Now I’m working on having a wider impact by helping you design or operate your buildings in a more sustainable manner. I am registered architect in the province of Québec (licensed through the NCARB), a LEED accredited professional (2008) with a wide range of interests and have taken courses at the Bauhaus, the AA Visiting School and the Glenn Murcutt Master Class in Australia.
