Intensive, self-paced, full-time Python- and SQL-based data science & machine learning bootcamp where we learned dozens of models/packages and had practice with over 20 projects, completed in Jupyter Notebook, addressing all kinds of business scenarios and included two custom capstone projects. Among topics/concepts covered were deep learning, natural language processing, data engineering, clustering, classification, Bayesian statistics, null hypothesis significance testing, bootstrapping and many, many more. Met regularly with mentor, completed ~30 Python & SQL courses in DataCamp, and took thousands of pages of digital searchable notes. Went above and beyond core curriculum to independently dive deep into concepts to thoroughly understand in-and-out and completed lots of optional material

Specialized in preventing catastrophic failures via remote predictive maintenance of high-power energy equipment in high-profile areas of Chicago. Cleaned, analyzed data using Access and Excel and presented raw data to expose potential risks to operations and field crews, and inform business decisions, strategy and budget. Crafted custom alarms dashboard and notifications system for first-response teams with PI/SCADAPrior to this, worked on Smart Grid Technology team, with my primary duty being the execution, smoothing out and maintenance of the Smart Streetlight pilot program, where I fielded alarms, dispatched field crews, planned installation routes, communicated daily with Village contacts on status, and mediated between hardware and software vendors until all the bugs were worked out.

Organizing and leading two main projects dealing with implementing smart software and technology on wind turbine assets, namely gearboxes and substation batteries. For the gearbox maintenance project, I was appointed project manager. The object was to trial a software named DigitalClone, made by Sentient Science, and evaluate it to see if it should be implemented full-time. DigitalClone uses prognostic modeling to take historical data and predict future gearbox condition and alert management when a component can be expected to fail so that corrective, preventative action can be taken. I collected and provided all necessary historical data as well as attended weekly meetings on the status of the project. I evaluated the predictions and compared them to actual data to validate their accuracy. I also compared the software to that of another vendor to determine which one was superior in predictive maintenance. I then detailed a comprehensive, 25-page engineering evaluation report and presented my findings to senior management.I am also currently leading a project dealing with implementing a battery monitoring system called Cellguard made by C&D technologies on two wind sites that can automate the battery testing process and eliminate the need for manual testing. I am responsible for coordinating a schedule for the project, organizing personnel and overseeing progress of the project, namely implementation of the system. Once the system is installed, I will review its efficacy and write a detailed report with an evaluation and recommendations. Eventually, this technology will be implemented on all wind sites in Exelon's fleet.I also assist with any minor work dealing with updating databases.

Researched cost-effectiveness of mining proposed sites and advised superiors. Geospatially aligned paper mining maps in AutoCAD to form electronic, 3D models and evaluate resources. Learned first-hand the financial consideration and impact of major engineering decisions.

Worked in field to oversee and assist in surface mining operations, including drilling and blasting. Test-drilled prospective sites to analyze geographical properties and layout of coal in order to configure computer modeling in AutoCAD.
