Shawn is an accomplished global healthcare executive with more than 30 years of experience in medical devices. Regenity Biosciences is the leading global developer and manufacturer of bioresorbable technologies to repair and regenerate natural tissue and bone for a variety of markets including dental, spine, orthopedic, neurosurgery, ENT and nerve repair. Prior to Regenity, Shawn served as General Manager of Structural Heart Valves at Boston Scientific, where he was responsible for developing and launching a range of innovative and clinically significant products and acquiring key technologies.Prior to Boston Scientific, Shawn was President and CEO at Tryton Medical, a venture-backed startup which earned the first global approval for a dedicated coronary bifurcation stent. He also held a range of management roles with increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson (Cordis), culminating as Worldwide Vice President of Marketing for Cardiology, Endovascular, and Neurovascular. Subsequent to Johnson & Johnson, McCarthy was Senior Vice President and General Manager of both the Vascular and Oncology Surgery business units at AngioDynamics. Shawn holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Syracuse University.
