Investigate reports of abuse and neglect of childrenTo assess current or future risk to the children by interviewing the parents, family members, and othersInterviewing and examining childrenAssessing the home environment and gathering pertinent information from other sourcesDetermine actions to be taken to remove or lessen an immediate threat to the safety of a childProvide in-home services to meet the specific needs of clients by identifying problem area, developing treatment plans, and using appropriate resources to minimize risk and provide for safety of children.Document case records by completing forms, narratives, and reports to form a written report for each clientDevelop and maintain effective working relationships between law enforcement officials, judicial officials, legal resources, medical professionals and other community resources.
