I teach the Research Design class for the Master of Public Policy Program.

GRA is a national organization of individuals and organizations engaged in public policy research at the state and local levels. The Association works to coordinate the activities of independent research organizations/think tanks throughout the U.S. and to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences among them.

Developed a foreign investment fund for job creation and economic development in Utah communities as part of a federal immigration program.Researched the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service's EB-5 program requirements and utilizing such research to produce the requisite dozens of documents comprising over 400 pages of text for the program application.Built a team with diverse qualifications to bolster the organization's effectiveness.

Directly oversaw the passage of two bills in 2010: "HB243 Foreclosure Processes on Residential Rental Properties" (personally researched and authored) and "SB45 Utah Fit Premises Act Amendments" (which is providing an enormous benefit to Utah's renters). Lobbied and advocated for low-income persons; in 2010 succeeded in spearheading the acquisition of statewide funding for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and the protection of redevelopment agency affordable housing funding.Researched/wrote position papers on various policy topics, including "Why is Your Home So Expensive? Lowering the Cost of Housing through Local Utah Governments" (2010) and "Redevelopment Agencies and Housing in Utah" (2008) and published numerous documents (printed and online), including conceptualizing, researching and authoring Poverty Report for the State of Utah (2007 - 2010) and Annual Report for the Community Action Partnership of Utah (2008, 2009).Presented housing and advocacy issues at over 20 conferences, legislative committees, and University of Utah classes as a guest instructor.

Managed projects dealing with corporate and securities law issues and policy changes.Facilitated corporate U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission compliance.Provided management and board support to struggling small cap organizations including at present an international project management firm with U.S. government contracts.
