Scope, plan, design, develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for Electric First Responders (Troublemen) and Emergency Response programs.

Engaged with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels from various teams in Electric Operations to analyze, prioritize, scope, and resource training solutions to address performance, compliance, and application needs. Partnered with Electric Standards and Work Methods team to develop a management of change process for the curriculum design team to analyze and integrate new and revised guidance documents, streamlining the process to integrate new and updated procedures into established and new training programs. Processed and closed over a dozen serious injury or fatality (SIF) and non-SIF corrective action items in 2021 and (to date) 2022. Corrective actions include training analysis and determining any needed edits or improvements in curriculum, assessments, field and/or on-the-job experience events.Partnered with Helicopter Operations team to develop process for performing on-the-job “check-ride” for journeyman employees to establish and renew their certification for performing helicopter patrols in a wired environment under 500 feet.Worked with Senior Instructional Designer team to develop detailed project plan templates for new-build and maintenance technical and non-technical training.Developed a process and tracking system for higher-level evaluation measures (Levels 3 and 4) in concert with enhanced training governance initiatives, spurring increased use of Level 3 application metrics in the analysis phase of curriculum development projects.Worked with curriculum development teams, clients, and LMS administrators to design targeted training certification programs involving multiple moving pieces and target audiences profiled by task, risk exposure, internal/external regulations, or role.

Partnered with Electric Operations and IBEW to complete development of 3½-year apprenticeship program for cable splicers, including knowledge and skill assessments and step/wage-progression tests.Led curriculum development teams to develop over two dozen courses and programs including improvements in training solutions for distribution troublemen, transmission towermen, distribution line technicians, journeyman linemen, and equipment courses. Solutions reduced or enhanced classroom time by introducing blended learning experiences such as WBT, self-study, and learning portals.Participated in leadership council to address action items related to investigations into wildfire ignitions. Recommendations led to updates in qualification requirements for contract and employee system inspectors.Participated in the “new normal” team to create a matrix of training strategy solutions and guidelines for alternatives to in-person training, including budget, technology, subject matter, and audience considerations. Led team to create Articulate Storyline-based simulations of Line Recloser controllers, bringing new equipment training to electric distribution field employees virtually.

Facilitated regular check-ins with other employees to provide the opportunity to discuss accomplishments, efforts, and contributions; and offer support with roadblocks, difficult interpersonal and logistical issues, and career development.Introduce, socialize, and help stabilize new classroom technologies to participant, instructor, and curriculum design end-users through design and testing of processes, maintaining the content library structure, and training.Served as team point of contact for iPad application and content management service. Communicated regularly with system administrators and vendors to troubleshoot and request system improvements.Developed Storyline-based e-learning courses to ensure compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards.Identified, analyzed, and developed training strategies for specific job tasks, tools, and equipment for Electric Distribution Operation field employees including linemen, troublemen, and cable splicers.

Design and develop several modules for company-wide leadership training for new managers. Modules include: employee engagement, ethics, legal issues, performance accountability and progressive discipline, providing feedback and coaching, business acumen and strategy, and behavioral-based interviewing
