Contracted by Management Systems International (MSI) to continue the work initiated under Genesis on the development and implementation of the Interoperable Architectural Framework for Zambia, as well as to draft the Health Information Systems Strategy (also for the MoH in Zambia). Contracted by Genesis to provide support for the Policy Note for Digitisation in the Health Sector in Eswatini (currently in progress)

I was brought on board in the Health Practice at Genesis to develop the Digital Health portfolio, serving both the internal needs of the practice, as well as the needs of clients. Genesis Analytics (Genesis) is a South African-grown, global economics-based consultancy firm that was one of the first established in Africa and has since grown into the largest on the continent. Genesis’ purpose is to unlock value for clients and citizens by helping them to make better decisions that are creative and optimistic, and sustainable and defensible over time. Genesis has worked in 89 countries globally, 42 of which are in Africa.Achievements» Led the development of the digital health strategy, which guided the development of the digital health portfolio» Provided Technical Assistance to various teams, including providing support for the development of the National Digital Strategy for Lesotho which is currently in the process of being implemented through a World Bank Grant;.» Provided technical assistance to the Ministry of Health in Zambia as the Senior Interoperability Advisor, which is contributing to the development of an Interoperable Architectural Framework that will guide data exchanges between various national systems.

Over an 18 year period, together with an awesome team, I grew HISP from a small consultancy to become a leading regional player in health information systems development with a team of over 100 staff and with a turnover of around R150m per annum.
