My higher education journey started when I obtained a bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology, with a minor in Sustainability Studies at Montana State University in 2022. My courses included strong foundational laboratory procedures, biochemistry, soil health, ecosystem ecology and microbiology. As a Master of Marine Biology candidate at James Cook University in Townsville, QLD, I am currently working as an intern with Biopixel Oceans Foundation. This experience focuses on shark ecology, sample and data management, and shark handling and tagging. Additional skills gleaned from my coursework and volunteer roles include data collection and analysis in RStudio, coral ecology and conservation, and marine ecology. I enjoy being a part of a diverse team and have developed real-world skills through hands-on fieldwork and experimental research. I am committed to advancing our understanding of marine ecosystems and promoting sustainable practices. I am currently seeking a position that enables the use of my current capabilities, with room to build and learn new skills related to the marine biology and environmental science sector.
