Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all group benefits programs and HRIS, providing senior level analytical and technical support in the delivery of these programs and systems, as well as managing benefit administration activities, vendors, invoicing and reporting, and related regulatory and compliance efforts. Severs as a senior subject matter expert and a key liaison to staf, vendors, and customers for all benefits and HRIS related matters, Manages health and welfare plans, including enrollments and terminations, Provides benefits counsel to staff throughout the organization. Designs, plans, and executes annual benefits open enrollment and benefits fair, Manages and processes all leaves of absences including FMLA/DCPFL, non-FMLA leave, Military, Worker’s Compensation and personal leaves and ensures compliance with federal and local regulations, Provides reports and audits to align human capital with business strategic goals including benefit, compliance, workforce, and other HR metrics, Responsible for a full-cycle management of HRIS, including but not limited to its configuration, maintenance and utilization, Maintain up to date and accurate plan documents, summary plan descriptions and other required notices; ensure they are distributed to team members in a timely manner, Creates, reviews, and analyzes employee surveys to ensure maximum use of benefits, Supports payroll function, Manages benefits carriers, vendors, and brokers, Ensures compliance of benefits programs, utilizing knowledge of benefits legislation (COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, PPACA, ADA, other) by staying up to date on rules and regulations impacting benefits programs; Ensures all benefits plan filings and audits (i.e. Form 5500s) are performed in a timely and accurate manner to maintain plan qualification and governmental compliance, Manages and plans benefit and wellness education program to achieve employee awareness, understanding, and appreciation of current programs offered.
