TriNet is a cloud-based professional employer organization for small and medium-sized businesses - providing payroll, health insurance, and with the acquisition of Teleborder, corporate sponsored immigration administration.As part of TriNet, I integrated the Teleborder platform, worked on various autonomous experimental projects - including tools for TriNet sales agents and voice and chat-based interfaces to the TriNet system. I also was a key part of the TriNet mobile team - rebuilding the app in React Native and working with our backend-team to design APIs.

• Teleborder was a YC-backed company focused on streamlining the immigration process, building a TurboTax for immigration. Our clients include Twitch, Jawbone, Segment, and Mode Analytics among many others.• As the Principal Engineer (3rd engineering hire) I was responsible for full-stack development in Ruby on Rails and EmberJS as well as architecture decisions. • Teleborder was acquired by TriNet in Feb 2016.

Coliloquy is a digital publisher of enhanced ebooks and apps, specializing in reader engagement and textual interactivity, particularly for middle grade, young adult, and female readers. We’ve done pioneering work with behavioral analytics, personalized ebooks, and contextual narrative advertising.Highlights included Kingdom Keepers Insider (a COPPA-compliant fan fiction community for Disney and Ridley Pearson), Rick Riordan’s Demigods of Olympus (a new reader-POV series in the Percy Jackson franchise), and working with the wonderful Rock Bottom Remainders (Stephen King, Mitch Albom, Dave Barry, Scott Turow, Roy Blount Jr., Amy Tan, James McBride, Matt Groening, and Sam Barry).We bootstrapped the company from concept to 30 interactive apps and ebooks with over 2 million readers before selling the publishing business to VOOK in October 2014.

• As the 5th engineer, helped develop the front-end and back-end code for Glyde's marketplace platform• Primary engineer for the Facebook app version of the platform, managing schedules, feature prioritization, and development, and integrating social features across the product family.• Helped create the "Inline Store" product which leveraged Javascript and custom HTML tags to allow 3rd parties to embed our marketplace directly into their website.

As part of the fledgling networking group, developed and ported a variety of networking protocols and applications in C, such as FTP, SSH, and SSL, to our INTEGRITY operating system for embedded devices.
