Shay Farkash is a pioneer and renowned expert in the field of Decorative Wall-Painting & Material Culture documentation, conservation, and restoration.Shay was one of the first to recognize that the earliest houses of Jaffa and Tel-Aviv were decorated with wall paintings and murals. He realized that there is large amounts of unfamiliar historical culture, and that there is a need to expose and conserve it for the present and future generations.Shay co-founded and co-manages Studio Tchelet, which is located in Lod, Israel. The Studio has been operating for two decades and specializes in the documentation, conservation, and restoration of murals and architectural paint. Aside from murals, the studio conducts diverse material heritage conservation projects and activities.
