I attended Greensboro College where I played NCAA Division III Volleyball and found my passion for Diversity Studies. I fell in love with finding new ways to understand and connect with people who have different experiences than me. I am seeking opportunities to develop and live out my passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion.During my first summer home, I had two part time jobs. I was an Electrical assistant to my dad for my family’s small business, Moss Electric and I worked as a cashier for the Home Depot. After my first month working at Home Depot, I was recognized as the July Employee of the Month as a result of having great customer satisfaction ratings. When I went back to school, Jean Lioko, who was the former volleyball coach at Greensboro College, connected me with the lovely ladies of Lucky Dog Volleyball. Luck Dog is a store that provides functional and stylish gear to the volleyball community. Monday through Friday I stocked and organized inventory in their warehouse and on the weekends I independently operated a kiosk at volleyball tournaments hosted by the Greensboro Sportsplex where I engaged customers and sold clothing. In my senior year, I was a Seasonal Brand Associate at Old Navy where I got great satisfaction in improving store appearance and engaging with customers.After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, with a concentration in Cultural Diversity and completing graduate coursework in Nonprofit Management at UNC Greensboro, I moved back home, to Raleigh, and went back to work as an electrical assistant and served as a volunteer with World Relief in Durham and Durham VA Medical CenterIn the spring of 2019, I began work on the 2020 Census working from the regional office in North Raleigh. During my 1.5 year tenure my I was promoted twice and my greatest accomplishment was using Excel and Oracle Peoplesoft applications to establish a database to track 1,480 Census Field Workers from onboarding to offboarding. As a result, we were able to meet our goal of accurately enumerating 5 counties in North Carolina (Person, Vance, Granville, Wake, Johnston) and I was invited to stay on and advise the Administrative Manager on Field Operations processes when the regional office down-sized from 40 employees to 7 employees.Currently, I am working at Kinetic Solutions as a Financial Specialist I on the closeout team. In FY 16 we succeeded in cancelling all ULO's reporting $0 in excess funds for the third consecutive year.
