Assalamu Alaikum (peace be upon you) to all my friends from around the world! I recently had a book published called, "The Hijabi Club"! The book will come out in November. The book is a novel geared toward young adults and older. The purpose is for Muslims and non Muslims to come together to work, respect, and know one another. ABOUT THE BOOKJosephine and Yasmeen are two Muslim American girls living in Orange County, California. Josephine is co-founder of the Interfaith Club at her school. She is an outgoing teenage girl her who loves slumber parties with her friends, community service projects, coming up with fun ideas, and tries to live the way God wants her too. She is Caucasian American, and lives with her single mom. Yasmeen wants to live the 'teenage dream' before she gets out of high school. She doesn't agree with how her family has raised her, and thinks it isn't fair she doesn't get the freedoms like other kids her age. She can't wait to graduate and move out. Her goal is to become a cosmetologist. She is the oldest of five kids. Yasmeen is Arab American. The fictional novel is filled with fun adventures, trials, and life lessons Josephine, Yasmeen, and their friends face throughout their teenage years . Josephine and Yasmeen have two different lives, but they come together every Friday night for “The Hijabi Club”!
