I have been working in the marketing industry in various ways since I graduated college. Though it has been in different capacities, all of my job titles have been stepping stones to where I am now. Working in media buying helped me understand strategies for media placement, building clientel and gaining contacts. Next working in the insurance arena dealing mostly with the senior population, taught me patience, listening skills, and the knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and programs available for seniors. In this industry, I learned selling is all about getting the "no"s to get to the "yes"s. It was the best way to get over my fear of rejection. Which leads me to what I have been doing for the last 2 years. Marketing more business to business, gaining trust, building relationships, and learning the art of networking and gaining contacts in the senior healthcare industry. It is here I have learned to never burn your bridges. You never know who you might work with in the future. My current job is rewarding, enjoyable, and the sky is the limit! Everyday is a new day! My short term goal is to grow the company I have been with from the ground up to a large, well recognized company in California.
