Team Leader for Vossloh Kiepe UK (formerly known as Transys Projects Limited) is an industry leader in rail engineering integration and rolling stock enhancement. The class 455 retraction project is a £40m programme to fit 91 units with its advanced energy-saving traction equipment. The Class 455 trains will be one of the first EMU fleets in the UK to benefit from a state of the art upgrade featuring regenerative braking. Responsible for managing production personnel comprised of mechanical, electrical and test technicians to deliver the modification packages to cost, quality and delivery standards.Ensure agreed quality levels are met, agreeing and delivering performance targets, competence levels and outputs in accordance with the Vossloh production/project management. Monitor, drive and execute project plans to ensure on time delivery using the Level 5 process. Manage inventory of parts needed to ensure works can be carried out speedily and efficiently. Attend daily and periodic meetings to report and resolve production and supply chain issues. Make continuous improvement change to improve working environment and productivity performance using LEAN thinking and tools.Promote a Health and Safety focus, COSHH information, hazard and risk assessment and quality conformance best practice.
