Hello! My name is Shayne and I live in Boise, Idaho. My journey within the working world has always been within the sphere of customer interaction, brand ambassadorship, and team development. In college at Boise State University I worked proudly as a University Tour Guide. Assisting potential students and unsure parents through the life changing decisions of higher education and ensuring that their choice was the right one. After a handful of years in college, I lost direction and focus. In a leap of faith, I applied to the first ever Whole Foods Market in Boise, Idaho. Despite the overwhelming competition ad my first experience with group interviews, I was welcomed as one of the first Team Members hired for this brand new store. I spent over six years with Whole Foods Market and grew in three separate teams. During this time I was hired for the roles as team trainer and as a customer experience supervisor. During my time as a team trainer and supervisor within Whole Foods, I started to find my true interests, and it turned out to be Leadership and Employee Development. With this self reflective moment, I decided to enroll back in college and pursue a Multidisciplinary Studies Degree with an emphasis on leadership. As I began my studies part time in college, I decided it was time for a change in job opportunities and joined Vacasa as a customer service team member. Shortly after my arrival, I was offered a life changing opportunity to become a team trainer and help facilitate the largest hiring push for customer service agents at the time. I happily agreed. During this time, I was able to put my studies into practice with great success. Almost year had passed since my opportunity as a team trainer and I was then offered the role as a Team Leader. Since then and as of now, I have been a Customer Service Team Leader for Vacasa for almost three years.
