After 20 years as a Marine Corps Logistician and Senior Leader, I am refocusing my experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities into Data Analysis using Power BI. Incorporating an organization’s data into Power BI allows me to analyze lines of operation and effort to provide recommended courses of action for stakeholders. Communicating complex ideas is an essential aspect of any business and I have consistently demonstrated effective communication skills briefing senior leaders and peers at various levels in the military and drafting and publishing project proposals, plans, and analyses. As a Marine Corps Logistician, my experience in staff planning, project management, process improvement, operations management, supply chain management, and transportation management creates value for organizations I serve to support their data analysis needs. Who I am:• Experienced problem solver with a demonstrated ability to recognize, understand, and analyze situations while garnering stakeholder interests to develop successful, executable solutions.• Proven leader and mentor who employs the appropriate skills to build, motivate, synchronize, and guide diverse, cross-functional teams to proficiently and resourcefully increase output.• Dedicated professional who has demonstrated a consistent ability to achieve or exceed intended results in challenging conditions while maintaining a positive work environment.• Team player adept at analyzing organizations, developing talent, and managing resources with a keen eye for continuous process improvement.I am passionate about analyzing data, solving problems, and improving processes. Using data and asking why a process is done a certain way or for a certain reason to the group or organization usually results in, “we’re not sure, we have always done it that way.” That answer sparks discussion, gets the team thinking, and one typically finds the process is obsolete and wasteful enabling the organization to find efficiencies, identify excess capacity, and recoup resources. Obtaining team (or stakeholder, depending on the situation) buy-in is critical to success, because if team members see themselves as contributing to the solution, project, etc., their outlook, energy, and performance tends to be a positive multiplier.
