At my position on the in-house Digital Marketing team, I work with a small group of dedicated individuals to optimize all aspects of TYE Medical's online presence. My primary duties include:- Owning all website revisions, including crafting landing pages and customer journeys, and optimizing existing content- Email marketing logistics- Running the LivDry brand Facebook page, Shop, and associated advertisements- Planning, editing, and approving branded copy for the website blog- Spearheading Walmart.com seller account growth- Overseeing various marketing subcontractors- Using market research to build and implement brand-wide marketing strategies- Creating copy, images, and other content for our website, product listings, and social media- Developing product packaging, branding, marketing strategy- Training machine learning models to understand and predict customer behavior- Researching and implementing new applications and tools for growth

While I this position, I was able to learn about the sales industry, and established and maintained positive business relationships with local, regional, and international businesses, polishing my skills in business English. I created and executed a multi-faceted prospecting plan through calling, email, and following up on marketing generated leads, and excelled in a taxing environment that required incredible self-starting and time management skills. I put those skills to work as I tracked and analyzed contacts, demonstrations, purchases, and communications with other companies. Never one to sit back when there is room for collaborative growth, I also spearheaded weekly peer-to-peer coaching sessions and brought ideas to management that were implemented to improve remote working conditions.

For this job, the hiring process and training were carried out entirely in Japanese, and at work I used Japanese almost exclusively, with the exception of assisting English-speaking guests. Although I had hoped to stay at this job much longer, unfortunately ANGO Hotels was forced to shut down unexpectedly only a few months into my time there. However, during those months I learned and practiced a variety of skills, and was able to achieve several personal accomplishments. - I became proficient at using Dynalution hotel software in Japanese through working at the reception desk. - I frequently received commendation from superiors and guests for my dedication to assisting them with their myriad needs. I carried out requests ranging from creating a gourmet vegan food guide and planning a bicycle trip across the city to creating detailed wheelchair-friendly day trips or finding an English speaking venue for a prenatal massage. - I attended and translated for a variety of events held at the hotel. These included workshops on tatami making, flower arranging, and tea ceremony, as well as talks from a former high ranking geiko, monks, and local craftsmen, and city tours. - I took initiative to suggest and plan new events, as well as conducted research and prospected new industry professionals to come hold events for our guests.- I was able to practice using honorific Japanese in a real-life setting, which allowed me to polish my understanding and fluency.

Employed at the Naruto City Board of Education, I visited up to four schools a week, teaching ages 6 through 15. I communicated with Japanese teachers in advance about lesson content, personally created materials to teach and practice target English vocabulary and grammar, then conducted lessons in cooperation with a Japanese teacher. I communicated primarily in Japanese with school and Board of Education employees, and regularly translated documents, speeches, emails, etc from Japanese to English. I also planned and led numerous English Camps, Eikaiwa sessions, and trainings for new and current ALTs across the prefecture.

I personally raised more than $150,000 through networking with alumni and parents as a fundraiser. I was promoted to student manager in charge of scheduling, training new employees, and facilities management.

I worked closely with department professors, assisting them with a wide variety of administrative and research directives. I advanced awareness and engagement with the department through communications and social media management. I contributed to the productivity of individual professors by carrying out organization, translation, scheduling, and research projects. During my junior and senior years I also tutored younger students in Japanese.
