Newton Venture Program's mission is to level the playing field for people from typically overlooked backgrounds - ensuring that the next generation of venture investors represent the world we live in. Newton is a joint venture between London Business School and Phoenix Court.The Fundamentals program covers key areas such as the VC ecosystem, dealflow, valuations, chemistry and conviction, negotiations, legals, follow up financing, scaling up, and the future of VC.

Origin Twenty is an angel investment syndicate, investing in digital African start-ups.I lead on deal flow, due diligence, and founder interviews across multiple investment leads. Ran primary on engagement with Awabah, Gameen, Klas, presenteing them and putting them forward for investment to the IC.Contributing and driving on group strategy e.g., thesis building, longevity and membership structure.

- Generalist exposure, running point on projects covering: FMCG, Energy (green energy with a focus on hydrogen), Sustainability, Edtech, Agetech, Web3, Femtech, Investment portfolio strategy, Community, Travel.- Leading on market analysis, ecosystem mapping, client stakeholder management, expert interviews, financial modelling, identifying & building new business propositions, creating strategies for implementing innovative technologies, portfolio management & business unit formation, business model ideation. In addition: venture strategy formation, presentation of deliverables to clients. Resulting in: Diversification of product portfolio for an FMCG client in the alternative protein space and, in sustainable cosmetic ingredients. The formation of innovation units for a major energy client, and for a Travel & Insurance client, and a pilot launch for one of the UK's biggest fleet operators.

- Founded the Black@FF group to further the development and community for Black employees and founders within the Founders Forum network. Leading the group in hosting four cross group events with external guest speakers and eight internal events over the course of one year. Covering topics such as the shift in the perception of African culture in the west, the historic challenges faced by Black British founders in the UK, the difference for Black founders in the US vs the UK and Africa’s potential within the Green Economy. Furthering my role as DEI lead at Founders Intelligence (FI), helping form and execute DEI goals at the company touching on recruitment, ways of working and HR communications.

Leading DEI efforts across all of Founders Forum Group companies as head of CINs. Helping others set up and run CINs in addition to Black@FF e.g. Proud@FF

- Product Management, market analysis, mechanism design, product strategy and design, web design, UX/UI design.- Social media manager: Increasing monthly profile visits 10x and increasing profile impressions to ~20K/month. Increased Twitter followers from 1.4K to 1.6k, and LinkedIn followers from 3.4k to 5.2K- Marketing - created the Movemeback Pulse Newsletter, a weekly newsletter sent to the <50K-member network and led its launch and the creation of all subsequent issues through sourcing news articles and stories and shaping the newsletter narratives. Managed the company’s social media, and presence at virtual conferences.- Strategising and executing on various project roles involving market research, problem solving, executing on ad hoc projects such as: COVID response, conference organising, growth hacking, RFP responses.

-As Lead Mediator for FAKE: -Successful operation of the 30-item exhibition for over 3 months-Lead and coordinated the Mediator team of 30, resulting in well trained and enthusiastic front face for the organisation-Lead outreach of the Science Gallery team to our visitors and VIPs, resulting in 50’000 visitors-Developed as a leader and learned how to operate in and coordinate several multifaceted teams with different but unified goals.

-Boosted infiltration and increased engagement with company website through coordinating the company’s social media presence on several with average engagement being in the double digits.-Increased the company’s potential revenue through sourcing and liaising with over 200 leads.-Contributing in strategy meetings for the company determining the path of the company.-Gaining insight into what it takes to operate and grow as a start-up, and what is involved on the financial side of biopharma.Gained competency in the use of genome analysis and comparison software such as Simplicity, Mykrobe and Mauve.

-Successful incorporation into the clinical lab team, performing experiments, relaying information between the lab and doctors and vice-versa, managed lab stock. Resulting in the seamless operation and management of the lab.
