Shazad is one of IDA's founders and has been instrumental in its growth into Middle East's leading design consultancies. The next steps are to take the success to a global stage and with that he took over as IDA's Chief Operating Officer, responsible for its international growth and operations.He is still involved with all aspects of design and management of projects with IDA's clients. As design is Shazad's passion and he could never give this up. Shazad has over 20 years of international experience on a wide range of architecture and interior design projects including workplace, hospitality, residential, retail and masterplanning projects. Shazad has applied his design skills on a range of award and competition winning projects globally. As IDA’s Head of Design, he provides the creative direction across its global studios. His design ability and all-round awareness make him a key member of the design team. Having delivered a number of award winning global schemes, Shazad’s design and build experience now enables him to act as the key consultant to deliver complex schemes from concept, design and through to construction. His multi-ethnical background and western upbringing gives him a great insight into working with Clients in the Middle East.He is also an expert on 'workplace design'. A position backed by an extensive portfolio in the office market ranging from New builds, refurbishment and fit-out projects. His achievements include the delivery of a new office HQ at 19 George Road which won several accolades including the British Council of Offices Award. In the Middle East he has successfully fused Arabic & Contemporary design to deliver projects for Prince Turki bin Nasser, King Abdulaziz University, Aramco, Abudawood, GIB Bank and Emaar.Shazad is often invited to speak on the subject of Design.
